Vision & Mission – To create better communication inside Auroville and build a bridge between Auroville, its local surrounding and the world. – In the interest of creating a Community Radio, a team of Auroville's residents has begun a project that is to give the city a modern and powerful communication tool. – This will also benefit the local villages amongst whom the Auroville International Township is emerging, by developing goodwill through effective communication regardless of boundaries and cultural differences. Methodology Recording, collecting and broadcasting on the net many of the workshops, conferences and meetings held in the township. Creating ad-hoc programmes containing information and interviews with Aurovilians and with experts who would share their experience in different fields. Exploring and developing a new ethics in communication, to create a valuable link between people of different cultures. Sharing and improving this research with specialists. Involving people who are interested in this project, both inside and outside of Auroville. Preparing specific programmes, workshops and projects involving schools and other educational centres in Auroville. AurovilleRadio started to broadcast on the Internet on December 5th 2004. The Auroville International Township maintains this website in order to enhance public access to information about Auroville's aims and ideals and the practical implementation thereof. The goal is to keep this information timely and accurate, and if errors are brought to our attention, we will try and correct them.
